What an exciting opportunity! Living & studying in another country to impact your own students seems like an adventure I will not get to take for quite a while (as I have young children). I am so excited to learn from you and to hear about your experiences. Thank you for opening up this opportunity for us to learn with you! I cannot wait for your next post!
I love the idea of “lived experiences” being the forefront. I am always looking towards more ways to make learning move meaningful and connected to my students. When they can see how it is useful to them they are more excited to learn and remember.
Hello Jana … Just this week, I pulled the mini-lessons on fractions, decimals and percents from Contexts in Mathematics to use for number strings. Such a cool resource. I often draw on the David and Doug Clarke’s work from AUS and NZ. Glad that you are attending Freudenthal Institute sessions. Appreciate the cross-cultural perspectives.
Hello Jana,
I loved reading the details about how you ended up doing this project. I am excited to hear how you are settling in. Best of luck.
